Ms. Wordel is an active performer throughout the Chicago area and the midwest. She has a bachelor of music degree in percussion performance from Northern Illinois University.

 

She toured the United States and Mexico with the Broadway show The Lion King, and has performed in Taiwan and Trinidad with the award winning Northern Illinois University Steel Band. She is also a member of LaSte’ - a viola and steel pan duo, and her professional steel band PanGo.

Ms. Wordel holds the position of Principal Percussionist with the Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra as well as Section Percussionist with the South Bend Symphony. She served as Principal Percussionist of the Northwest Indiana Symphony and can also be seen as an extra with the Kalamazoo Symphony, the Fort Wayne Philharmonic, and Illinois Philharmonic Orchestras.

Dedicated to music education, she maintains a private lesson studio, and teaches marching and front line percussion as well as concert percussion ensembles in Northwest Indiana. She also directs two high school steel bands.
